The main factors you need to consider regarding a log cabin is the size you require, such as, how big is the area you intend to situate the building. Which wall thickness you require, which is usually dependant on what you are using the cabin for and whether you would prefer an apex (pointed) roof or a pent (flat) roof. Last but not least, you will need to ensure that the area in which you require your building is appropriate for the cabin to be built upon. We recommend a solid, level, concreted or paved area. Once you have established this, comes the fun bit - browsing through your choices and making a decision.
The last simple decision you will need to make is what colour you are going to paint the cabin once you have built it. All of our cabins are delivered untreated, giving you the opportunity to be creative with the decorating of your new log cabin. You will need to use a water based paint especially for wooden, outdoor buildings to carry this out. Never use standard house paint on outdoor buildings as this will flake off and not provide the wood with the goodness it needs. We recommend you treat your cabin as soon as you have installed the building.
